What do you love at work most?
Here are six things I love:
1) Thinking about ideas and content freely — with the deadline far away.
2) Working without interruption on a single project.
3) Using a wide variety of tools and techniques.
4) Travelling to new places.
5) Working on projects that matter to me.
6) Having things come back from the printer done well.

You should read Emigre, a provocative magazine about design that used to be published by Rudy VanderLans and died a few years back… there is an article that challenges all these great designers and the kind of work they do… I have to lend it to you.
I’m going to London to buy up all the old issues man…

yes pass it on! Emigre deals a lot w type? i’m particularly studying asian design lately tho, e.g. the works of Kashiwa Sato (http://kashiwasato.com) where colours, shapes and repetition drive the visuals. perhaps it’s the compartmentalised, HDB environment + data generation that make repetition so relevant and alluring to me too!
